Stateside Brands, the company behind the booming Surfside ready-to-drink iced tea & lemonade + vodka line, is pushing forward with fresh ideas rather than resting on its success.
In a recent interview on BeerNet Radio, CEO and co-founder Clem Pappas revealed details about their upcoming release: Super Lyte, a vodka-infused "ade" series drawing from popular sports beverage flavors, featuring varieties such as Fruit Punch, Orange, Lemon Lime, and Blue Magic.
This new offering comes in at 4.5% alcohol by volume, with no carbonation, no sugar, no carbohydrates, and only 90 calories per serving. It is set to hit shelves in certain regions this spring, and the initial rollout will target the Northeast and parts of the Southeast, areas where Surfside has already built strong momentum.
Looking ahead, Super Lyte is just one part of an ambitious pipeline. Stateside plans to unveil another RTD concept soon and has more in development. Surfside CEO, Clement Pappas views the current shift toward spirits-based RTDs as a rare market shift, previously limited by regulations favoring malt bases for tax and distribution advantages.
